REPORT

On Tuesday, 27th November we visited Rochester Cathedral.  We went there for maths week and we found that maths can be found anywhere!

We met a woman called Helen and she took us into the choir room where we saw some lovely tiles that had wolves on them and, if you looked closely enough, you could see that a few of the tiles were facing the wrong way.  This was because you make mistakes in your life.

We also made tessellating patterns that are really effective.

After that, we went into a separate place to eat our lunch and then we went round in groups and, guess what, we found more maths!

We found maths on gravestones, tiles, pillars and in the shop!  While we were walking around we got to see some wonderful things!  Then it was time to go and, even on the way back, we found maths!!!

We had a wonderful day and we would like to thank Mrs Greenhow and Mrs Adams and a really big thanks to Mrs Burr for organising this trip for us.
