Gifted and Talented
From an early age we will be looking for those children who are more able than their peer group in a variety of areas. Gifted children tend to be those who have a natural aptitude for the core subjects of English, maths and other written subjects. Talented children are those who have skills in more practical areas such as technology, sports or the arts.
Children are identified by results in tests and observations from those teaching them. Parents may also have a knowledge of a skill not taught in school but one in which we may be able to offer support.
Once a child has been identified we would plan a programme of support with the parent and the class teacher to ensure that every child's potential is achieved.
